GE-brand Free-Standing French Door Refrigerators in Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel are being recalled. Universal Security Instruments Recalls Combination Photoelectric Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarms recalled. The alarms can fail to alert consumers to the presence of a hazardous level of carbon monoxide, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning or death. Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless, poisonous gas.This recall involves two models and two date codes of Universal Security Instruments 2-in-1 Photoelectric Smoke & Fire + Carbon Monoxide alarms. Model MPC322S has 10-year sealed batteries and a manufacturing date code of 2017JUN09. Model MPC122S is a hardwired alarm with 10-year sealed battery backup and a manufacturing date code of 2017JUN02. The brand name “UNIVERSAL SECURITY INSTRUMENTS, INC.” or “USI ELECTRIC” is printed on the front of the alarms above “Photoelectric Smoke & Fire + Carbon Monoxide Alarm.”  The model number and date code are printed on the back of the alarms.  Consumers should immediately contact Universal Security Instruments for a free replacement alarm. Consumers should keep using the recalled alarms until they install replacement alarms. Kidde TruSense Smoke Alarms and Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms  are being recalled.
The smoke alarm and the combination smoke/carbon monoxide (CO) alarm can fail to alert consumers to a fire.The recalled units are Kidde Model Series 2040, 2050, 2060 and 2070 Smoke and Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide alarms.  Only alarms with the TruSense logo or “AMBER=FAULT” printed on the front of the alarm are included in this recall.Consumers should immediately contact Kidde for a free replacement alarm.  Consumers should keep using the recalled alarms until they install replacement alarms.

 
DBI-SALA® Twin-Leg Nano-Lok™ edge and Twin-Leg Nano-Lok™ Wrap Back Self-Retracting Lifelines Are being recalled. 3M has determined that in a fall and under certain conditions, the energy absorber of these devices may not properly deploy which could expose the worker to serious injury or death.These products must be removed from service immediately.

Stanley Security Solutions Taiwan, Ltd. of Taiwan, has recalled Stanley’s commercial cylindrical series BMHA/ANSI Grade 1 heavy duty locksets with dead-latch components.  The latches can fail and the door cannot be unlocked from the inside, posing an entrapment risk. Lota USA, of Los Angeles, CA, has recalled Glacier Bay and SchÓ§n touchless kitchen faucets.The battery box used to power the faucet’s sensor can short circuit, overheat and/or melt, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. Panasonic Corporation of North America, of Newark, NJ, has recalled Metal Cutter Saw Kit and Metal Cutter Combo Kit. The lower blade guard can get stuck in the fully retracted position and not automatically release to cover the blade. The exposed blade poses a laceration hazard and risk of injury. Technical Consumer Products Inc., of Aurora, OH, has recalled Connected by TCP 5-inch and 6-inch LED Downlight retrofits for recessed cans. The internal wiring in the LED downlights can contact the downlight’s metal trim, posing a shock hazard to consumers.
Consumers should immediately contact TCP to receive a free replacement lamp with installation instructions. Consumers should not touch the lamp while it is powered. Robert Bosch Tool Corp., of Mount Prospect, IL, has recalled Dremel® MICRO™ Model 8050 Rotary Tool.The tool’s circuit board can overheat and melt the tool’s enclosure. If the tool is being held while overheating, it could present a risk of burn. Additionally, some tools may lose their speed control changing to high speed in use, turn on by themselves, or may not turn off, posing a personal injury hazard. Osram Sylvania Inc., of Danvers, MA has recalled  SubstiTUBE IS T8 LED lamps. The recalled lamps are white, cylindrical in shape and measure 48 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. “OSRAM SubtiTUBE® IS LED T8” is printed on a silver label affixed to the end of lamps. The model number 73312-1 or 73315-1 also appears on the label beneath the statement “Compatible LED T8 for use with instant start T8 electronic ballasts.” The lamps can overheat and melt. Grizzly Industrial Inc., of Bellingham, WA, has recalled Grizzly 10-inch hybrid table saws. The motor pulley can come loose and hit the table saw blade, causing the blade teeth to break into flying metal fragments, posing a risk of laceration or impact injury to consumers. Viking Range LLC, of Greenwood, MS, has expanded the recall on Viking Professional, Designer and Custom Panel dishwashers manufactured before April 1, 2011. Whirlpool Corporation, of Benton Harbor, MI has recalled Jenn-Air brand single and double wall ovens, and combination microwave/wall ovens with an extendable roller rack with handle. The extendable roller rack can unexpectedly disengage when fully extended, posing a risk of burns to consumers. The ovens were sold in stainless steel, oiled bronze, black and white. The Jenn-Air logo is affixed to the lower right corner of the oven door. Wall ovens included in the recall have models numbers that begin with JJW2, JJW3 JMW2 or JMW3 and a serial number beginning with a D or F.  A complete list of model and serial numbers included in this recall is on the firm’s website.

Cooper Lighting LLC, of Peachtree City, GA has recalled indoor 2-light fluorescent light fixtures that range in size from 18 inches to 4 feet long. The socket can overheat, arc and melt, posing a fire hazard. The fixtures were sold in white and can be mounted from heights between 8 and 12 feet. A date code between 182 11 (July 1, 2011) and 090 15 (March 31, 2015) is affixed to the fixture near the ballast in a DDD YY format. Catalog and model numbers are located on the second line of a label affixed to the inside of the fixture. Cree Inc., of Durham, NC has recalled Cree LED T8 lamps used indoors to replace traditional two pin T8 fluorescent tubes. The white lamps have a cylindrical shape and measure 48 inches long. The affected units are marked as “BT848 Series Lamp” with the product part number on the lamp itself or printed on a white label affixed to the lamp. A four digit date code is printed on the lamp under a statement that reads “Compatible with Instant Start, Rapid Start and Dimmable Electronic Ballasts.” Electrical arcing may cause the lamp to overheat and melt, posing a burn hazard. A.O. Smith Corp., of Milwaukee, WI has recalled John Wood brand 50 and 70 gallon oil-fired water heaters. The 50 gallon water heaters have model number JW517 and serial numbers from 1349A021678 through 1503A016643. The 70 gallon water heaters have model number JW717 and serial numbers from 1421M001517 through 436M000040. The water heaters are gray with “John Wood” printed in blue and white near the top.  The model number, size and serial numbers are printed on the rating plate near the top of the tank. 
The water heater’s combustion chamber can be misaligned and heat the exterior walls of the water heater instead of the water. Combustible material near the outside of the water heater can catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards. Only oil-fired water heaters are included in this recall. The stainless steel trim below the range control panel can have a sharp edge, posing a laceration hazard to consumers. Electrolux Home Products Inc., of Charlotte, NC has recalled Sears Kenmore stainless steel slide-in ranges with gas cooktops and electric ovens. Model number 790.42603xxx with serial numbers ranging from AF42500601 through AF43000916 and model number 790.42613xxx with serial numbers ranging from AF42500541 through AF43103647 are included. The model and serial numbers are located on the inside frame of the range door on the left side. Kenmore Elite is printed on the front of the oven door.

System Sensor of St. Charles, IL has recalled Combination Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detectors Due to Carbon Monoxide Hazard. i4 Series System Sensor combination carbon monoxide (CO)/smoke detectors can fail to detect carbon monoxide gas in the home, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Sunbeam Products, Inc., Boca Raton, FL has recalled Holmes brand oil-filled heaters that are black or white in color. The heaters included in the recall are about 23 inches tall, 6 inches deep and 12 inches wide and have model number HOH3000 or HOH3000B printed on a label on the bottom of the product. The “Holmes” logo is near the power switch and temperature control. Products affected have a code on the heater plug blade within the following range: G192 through G298.  No other codes are affected. Mirka Abrasives, Inc. of Twinsburg, OH, has extended the recall of Compact Electric Random Orbital Sanders Due to Fire Hazard This recall involves 5-inch and 6-inch Mirka CEROS compact electric random orbital sanders. The sanders are yellow and black with Mirka logo on the front. A speed control lever is on the top of the sanders and a vacuum hose connector on the rear. The recalled sanders came with either a cardboard box or a plastic carrying case, a 12-foot power cord, a wrench, a multi-hole backup pad and assorted abrasives.FOR more information including model/serial numbers visit recall.

Daesung Celtic Enersys Co. Ltd. of Chungbuk, Korea has recalled tankless gas water heaters. The water heaters can overheat, posing a fire hazard. This recall involves all models of single- and dual-purpose Coaire and Quietside brand tankless gas water heaters. The recalled water heaters heat either 4 or 7.2 gallons of water per minute. They are white and come in the following dimension ranges: 25-28 inches tall x 15-19 inches wide x 8-14 inches thick. The words “S-Line Condensing” are on the top front and brand names “Coaire” or “Quietside” are on the bottom front of the recalled water heaters. RSI Home Products, of Anaheim, CA, is recalling four models of Glacier Bay®-branded bathroom medicine cabinets, manufactured between July 15, 2013 and October 10, 2013 and sold exclusively by Home Depot. They have a mirrored door, two adjustable and two fixed interior shelves. Some models have exterior display side shelves. The mirror or its back panel can separate and fall out, posing an injury hazard to consumers. They were sold in 21, 23 and 30-inch widths and in three finishes: cognac, java and white. ”VOC” and the manufacture date are stamped on the exterior of the cabinet’s back panel. The model and SKU number appear on the product’s box.

U.S. Boiler Company Inc., of Lancaster, PA, has recalled  ESC, PVG and SCG model cast iron hot water boilers that use natural gas or liquid petroleum to heat water for residential space heating. The boiler may emit excessive amounts of carbon monoxide posing a CO poisoning hazard to the consumer. The boilers are light blue in color with black trim, about 40 inches tall, about 26 inches deep and range from 12 to 31 inches wide. The model name and U.S. Boiler logo are on the front cover of the boiler. The front cover of the boiler is vented. Recalled boilers were manufactured between December 2005 and February 2013. The model number, serial number and manufacturing date are located on a silver label on the top panel of ESC models and on the inside of PVG and SCG models on the right side panel. The manufacturing date appears in the upper right corner of the silver label in the MM/YYYY format.

New Yorker Boiler Company Inc., of Hatfield, PA, has recalled the PVCGA model cast iron hot water boilers that use natural gas or liquid petroleum to heat water for residential space heating. The boiler may emit excessive amounts of carbon monoxide posing a CO poisoning hazard to the consumer. The boilers are green in color, about 38 inches tall and about 26 inches deep and range from 11 to 30 inches wide. The front cover of the boiler is vented and has the New Yorker Boiler logo. Recalled boilers were manufactured between May 2012 and February 2013. The model number, serial number and manufacturing date are located on a silver label on the inside panel. The manufacturing date appears in the upper right corner of the silver label in the MM/YYYY format.

Red Wing Shoe Company Inc., of Red Wing, MN, has recalled 45 styles of Red Wing men’s steel toe work boots in sizes 11 to 18 and widths ranging from B to H depending on the size and style. Crown Boiler Company, of Philadelphia PA, has recalled the CWD series cast iron hot water boilers that use natural gas or liquid petroleum to heat water in home baseboard, floor or radiator heating systems. The boiler may emit excessive amounts of carbon monoxide posing a CO poisoning hazard to the consumer. The boilers are red and gray, about 37 inches tall, about 23 inches deep and range from about 16 to 42 inches wide. The Crown Boiler logo is on the front of the boiler. Recalled boilers have model numbers that begin with CWD and were manufactured between May 1, 2005 and July 1, 2013. The model number and the manufacturing date are located on a white rating label located on the upper right side of the boiler. 
Consumers with recalled boilers should immediately contact the installer or distributor from whom they purchased the boiler or Crown Boiler to schedule a free in-home repair. Consumers who continue using the boilers while awaiting repair, should have a working carbon monoxide alarm installed outside of sleeping areas in the home.

HeathCo LLC, of Bowling Green, KY, has announced the recall of Motion Security Lights. Internal wiring can be damaged during installation, bulb replacement or adjustment, posing an electric shock hazard. This recall involves Heath®/Zenith 270° Motion Security Lights with model number SL-5414-WH. It replaces a standard outdoor wall mounted light fixture and is designed to turn on when motion is detected at night. The product has two cone-shaped light  bulb receptacles attached to a round mounting plate. A small, rectangular motion sensor is attached to the mounting plate between the light bulb receptacles. The unit is made of aluminum and plastic. It comes in white only. The brand name and model number are on a label located on the back of the motion sensor. The lights were sold at Home Depot Stores from September 2011 through April 2012 for about $30. Consumers should immediately stop using the light, turn off power to the unit at the circuit breaker or fuse panel and contact HeathCo for a free replacement light fixture.

Robert Bosch Tool Corporation of Mount Prospect, IL, has recalled the product, SkilSaw® 10-inch compound miter saw, with model number 3316 and date codes 111, 112, 201, 202, 203 or 204. The model number and date code are on the lower right side of the name plate located on the motor housing. The SkilSaw logo appears at the top of the upper blade guard and on the dust collection bag. The saws were sold from January 2012 to April 2012.
The lower guard can break and contact the blade during use, posing a laceration hazard to users. Consumers should immediately stop using the miter saw and contact Robert Bosch Tool Corporation for a free lower guard replacement kit.

Homewerks Worldwide LLC, Lincolnshire, IL, importer of  Delta Electronics (Dongguan) Co. Ltd., of China, has recalled Harbor Breeze Bath Fans with Heater and Light. The fan's heater blades can fail to rotate properly, causing the fan to overheat and posing a fire hazard.
This recall involves plastic Harbor Breeze bathroom fans with a center light and a heater. The fans are white and measure about 11 x 17 inches. Model number 7109-01-L, Lowe's item number 194492 and UPC code 820633985358 are printed on the fan's packaging. A date code beginning with either  0, 11, 12 or 13 is printed on the fan's housing, which indicates the fan was manufactured between August 2010 and March 2011.

Flushmate, of New Hudson, MI, a division of Sloan Valve Company, has recalled Flushmate® III Pressure-Assist Flushing System.The system can burst at or near the vessel weld seam releasing stored pressure. This pressure can lift the tank lid and shatter the tank, posing impact or laceration hazards to consumers and property damage.
This recall is for Series 503 Flushmate® III Pressure Assist flushing systems installed inside toilet tanks. The recalled systems were manufactured from October 1997 to February 2008. The units are rectangular, black, two-piece vessels made of injection molded plastic. The date code/serial number is 16 characters long and is located on the label on the top of the Flushmate III. The first six numerals of the serial number are the date code. The date code range for this recall begins with 101497 (October 14, 1997) and continues through 022908 (February 29, 2008).
Consumers should immediately turn off the water supply to the recalled Flushmate III unit and stop using the system. Consumers should contact the firm to determine if their Flushmate III serial number is included in the recall and to request a free repair kit.

Thomas Lighting, of Elgin, IL; part of Philips Consumer Luminaires Corporation, of Elgin, IL, has recalled flush mount ceiling light fixtures due fire and shock hazards. The fixture's socket wire insulation can degrade, leading to charged wires becoming exposed, causing electricity to pass to the metal canopy of the fixture. This poses a fire and electric shock hazard to consumers. This recall involves 28 different models of ceiling flush-mounted light fixtures manufactured between June 1, 2010, through November 25, 2010, with a diameter ranging from 7.5" to 13". All affected fixtures have a round base or canopy affixed to the ceiling and a dome- or cylindrical-shaped cover. The recalled fixtures have a variety of finishes including metal and/or clear or frosted glass and contain one, two or three light bulbs. Canopies are a range of colors including white, bronze, brass (gold) and nickel. Most models have a nib in the center of the dome cover in the same color as the canopy. Although the manufacturer's name, the fixture model number and production date can be found on a printed label on the ceiling-side of the fixture's metal canopy, consumers are advised not to remove the metal canopy from the ceiling in order to access this label.

Bel Air Lighting Inc., of Valencia, CA, has announced the recall of outdoor wall mount lanterns. An electrical short circuit can occur in the lanterns' internal wiring, posing a risk of fire, burn and electric shock to consumers.
This recall involves outdoor wall-mount lanterns made of cast aluminum in a rust color with beveled glass sold from June 2006 through May 2012. A question mark shaped piece of metal connects the lantern body to the wall-mount plate. The lanterns were sold at Lowe's stores under the Portfolio brand name with item number 253366 and at lighting showrooms with item number 44181. The brand name and item number are printed on the product's packaging. Lanterns included in the recall are 19.25-inches tall by 9.75-inches wide by 9.25-inches deep and have a three-light candelabra base cluster inside. Part number "E194303" is printed on the base plate and on a label affixed to one of the light sockets.
Consumers should immediately stop using the lanterns and contact Bel Air Lighting for a free replacement lantern.

EDIC, of Los Angeles, CA has issued a recall of Air movers/blowers. The air mover/blower's internal electrical capacitor can fail and overheat, posing a fire hazard.
This recall involves air movers/blowers that are used to dry floors in homes and other buildings sold from January 2003 through September 2011. "Aqua Dri" is printed on the top of some of the air movers. Model "3004AD" or model "3004ADxxx" (with additional letters) is printed on the serial number plate on the back of the units. Model numbers with "N" are not included in this recall. The air movers' plastic housing measures about 18 inches high by 18 inches long by 18 inches deep and has a 25-foot yellow electrical cord.
Users should immediately stop using the recalled air movers/blowers and contact EDIC for a free repair kit to be installed by users.

Cooper Lighting LLC, of Peachtree City, GA has recalled Portfolio 7-inch reflector assembly with glass lens. The reflector can fall out of its fixture to the ground, which could result in an injury hazard. 
This recall involves circular, 7-inch diameter Portfolio aluminum reflector with glass lens designed to be inserted into a light fixture sold from May 2008 to February 2012. This reflector is intended for use in indoor, commercial applications, such as office buildings, schools and shopping malls. There are four springs attached to the lip of the reflector. Reflectors marked with a barcoded stamp on their outside surface are not subject this recall. The recall includes reflectors with the following catalog descriptions: 7080*G, 7081*G, 7280*G, 7281*G, 7380*G, 7381*G, 7780*G, 7781*G, MSP5429*, MSP5443*, OLD-7280KLI4G and 7-inch reflectors with glass lens with the "PDR" (Product Deviation Request or customized product designation) prefix; however, this description does not appear on the product. The recalled assembly is used in the following lighting fixtures: C7018*, C7042*, C7113*, C7118*, C7126*, C7142*, C7213*, C7218*, C7226*, C7242*HD7*, and MD7*. 
Maintenance personnel in facilities with these fixtures should check them immediately, take down any units without a barcoded stamp and contact Cooper Lighting for free replacement springs.

Unitary Products Group (UPG), a division of York International Corp., of York, PA, has re-announced the recall of Coleman, Coleman Evcon and Red T Gas Furnaces for Manufactured Homes.  
The furnace can overheat and cause the heat-exchanger to crack and create openings that allow flames to be exposed. When this happens, drywall and other nearby combustibles are exposed to the flames, posing a fire and smoke hazard to consumers.The furnaces are silver with white access panels. "Coleman," "Coleman Evcon" and "Red T" brand names are located on the middle of the front access panel. The model number is written on a faceplate, found by removing both front access panels. The faceplate is found mounted on the left inside surface behind the lower panel.

Viking Range Corporation of Greenwood, MS, has recalled Viking dishwashers.
An electrical component in the dishwasher can overheat, posing a fire hazard. 
The recall includes Viking 24" Professional, Designer and Custom Panel dishwashers manufactured between May and September 2010. They were sold in black, white and 24 other custom colors, stainless steel and with custom wood panels. The name "Viking" appears on the control panel at the top of the door. The model and serial number are located on the identification plate mounted on the inside on the left side of the dishwasher door opening. The first six numbers in the serial number are the manufacture date in mmddyy format, e.g., serial number 052610 was manufactured on May 26, 2010.

Kyung Dong Navien Co. Ltd., South Korea, has recalled Navien Instantaneous or Tankless Water Heaters imported by Navien America Inc., of Irvine, CA. An unstable connection can cause the water heater's vent collar to separate or detach if pressure is applied. A detached vent collar poses a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning to the consumer.The Navien tankless hot water heaters are white with "T-Creator" and "NAVIEN" on the front. Recalled model numbers are CR-180(A), CR-210(A), CR-240(A), CC-180(A), CC-210(A) and CC-240(A) manufactured in 2008 were sold from February 2008 through March 2009. A label on the side of the water heater lists the model number along with the manufacturing year in YYYY format.
Consumers should immediately stop using and check the model and manufacture year information on their Navien water heater. Consumers with recalled water heaters should immediately contact Navien to schedule a free repair. Navien will replace all Nylon 66 vent collar with PVC collars.

General Electric - Appliances, of Louisville, KY, has recalled GE Monogram® Pro Rangetop with Grill manufactured by Leiser, Mexico.  Burners on Rangetops operating on liquefied petroleum ("LP" or propane) may fail to ignite or light if the gas control knob is left in a position between OFF and LITE, posing a risk of delayed ignition or explosion. The Rangetop units are either 36 or 48 inches wide with a stainless steel finish and the GE Monogram® badge located on the front center of the unit. The burner control knobs are located on the front panel that overhangs the cabinet. The model and serial numbers can be found on a label located behind the far left burner knob, or on the bottom of the unit.
Consumers who are operating the product on LP (propane) gas should stop using the product immediately, turn off the gas supply to the product, and contact GE to schedule a free repair.

Venmar Ventilation Inc., of Quebec, Canada has recalled air exchangers due to fire hazard.
This recall involves air exchangers sold under different brands that are used to circulate air in and out of the home. The metal air exchangers are painted blue or grey. Air exchangers included in the recall were manufactured from 1996 through 2001 and have brand and model information printed on the unit's rating plate or on the side of the unit.

A&A Manufacturing, of Phoenix, AZ.; AquaStar Pool Products Inc., of San Diego, CA.; Color Match Pool Fittings, of Surprise, AZ.; Custom Molded Products, of Tyrone, GA.; Hayward Pool Products, of Elizabeth, NJ.; Pentair Water Pool and Spa, of Sanford, NC.; Rising Dragon USA, of E. Sweetwater, TN.; and Waterway Plastics, of Oxnard, CA.have recalled drain covers that were incorrectly rated to handle the flow of water through the cover, which could pose a possible entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers. 
Pool owners/operators and consumers who have one of the recalled pool or spa drain covers should immediately contact the manufacturer to receive a replacement or retrofit, depending on their make and model. Except for kiddie pools, wading pools and in-ground spas, retrofit or replacement of installed covers are not required in pools with multiple drain systems or gravity drainage systems or for covers installed before December 19, 2008. .See here for more information and a list of effected models. One World Technologies, Inc., of Anderson, SC has recalled Ryobi, model S651D, ¼ Sheet Sanders. Pieces of the fan can break off from the fan assembly and be ejected from the product, posing a laceration hazard to consumers. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled sander and contact One World Technologies to receive a free replacement sander.

Lennox Industries Inc., of Richardson, TX, and  Advanced Distributor Products (ADP) LLC, of Grenada, MS, have recalled FOA and TUA series garage heaters. Some heaters were manufactured without a required flame rollout switch, which is a back-up device that shuts down the heater in the event of a heater failure. This poses a fire hazard. Consumers should immediately stop using the heaters immediately and contact ADP or LENNOX to schedule an inspection and, if necessary, repair of the heater. Sunjoy Industries Group Limited, of Steubenville, OH, has recalled Freestanding "Garden Treasures Living" Steel Outdoor Fireplaces. The decorative bronze powder coat finish on the fireplace chimney can ignite during use, posing a fire hazard to consumers. Lennox Hearth Products LLC, of Nashville, TN, has recalled Shadowdance Natural Gas Log Set Burner Assemblies. A crack can develop at the gas valve connection allowing natural gas to leak while the burner is in use, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Vacless Systems Inc., of Sylmar, CA, has recalled Pool Safety Vacuum Release System. Improper plastic material found inside the recalled product has been attributed to vacuum release failures which create an entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers. STIHL Incorporated, of Virginia Beach, VA, has recalled STIHL MS 361C chain saws (C-Q version). The throttle trigger may stick after it has been released by the operator, which could cause the engine to continue to run at a speed that drives the saw chain. This can pose a risk of a laceration injury to the user or a bystander. Consumers should stop using these chain saws immediately and return them to an authorized STIHL dealer for a free repair. Electrolux Home Products Inc., of Charlotte, NC, has recalled Frigidaire and Electrolux ICON Smoothtop Electric Cooktops and Frigidaire Slide-in Ranges with rotary knobs and digital displays. Liquids can pool under the control knob and cause the surface heating element to turn on unexpectedly, heat to temperatures other than expected and then not turn off, posing a risk of fire and burn hazards to consumers.  Model and serial numbers for the slide-in ranges can be found inside the oven door on the left side of the unit or on the underside surface on cooktop models. Black & Decker (U.S.) Inc., of Towson, MD, has recalled Black & Decker Random Orbit Sanders with model numbers RO400, RO400G, RO410, RO410K, RO410LW and FS3000ROS and date codes between 200701 and 200929. The black plastic disc (called the platen) that holds the sandpaper can fly off or break apart during use and the disc, or pieces of the disc, can hit the user or those nearby, posing a laceration hazard. Cerro Wire Inc., of Crothersville, IN, has recalled THHN Electrical Wire. The actual electrical wire has “14 gauge” printed on it, but the packaging incorrectly labels the electrical wire as 12 gauge solid white 100’ UPC 48243982721 and 12 gauge stranded red 50’ UPC 48243229215. If used as a 12 gauge wire, it can overload, posing a fire hazard to consumers. Consumers should immediately stop using any switches, outlets or electrical devices using this wire and contact Cerro Wire for instructions on returning the product for a refund. White Cap Construction Supply Inc., of Costa Mesa, CA, has recalled 2 to 20 pound Brigade Hickory handle sledge hammers. The head of the sledge hammer can loosen and detach, posing a risk of impact injury to consumers.
